EWP NZQA TRAINING
At Skyrise Hire, we are committed to making working at height easy and safe.
The NZQA Operator Training is a nationally recognised safety training programme supported by the Hire Industry Association of New Zealand (HIANZ) and complies with MEWP best practice guidelines standards.
The objective of the training is to give operators an expert understanding of the different types of machines, their safety features and applications, to minimise the potential for accidents through the incorrect use of this equipment in the workplace.
Increased productivity is a direct result of using EWPs to complete a task, as the machinery removes the need for scaffolding and therefore reduces set-up times. NZQA Operator Training provides a solid understanding of how to use EWPs safely and efficiently.
Quoted from Worksafe NZ Mobile Elevated Work Platforms Best practice guidelines August 2014 “An employer or principal who tells someone to use Mobile Elevated Work Platforms must make sure that the operator is adequately trained by a competent person and can demonstrate their competency before using any equipment”.
The NZQA Operator Licence certifies that the holder is competent in the operation of access equipment for the unit standards on their card and is valid for 3 years.
